Access to the Service
This practice runs an appointment system as well as Emergency Advanced Access for the doctors and the nurse. Please make an appointment by calling into the surgery or phoning 01443 875131 during the reception hours. Please make one appointment for each patient. We will try to offer you an appointment on the same day you request, but it may be necessary to wait for a day or so during a busy period.
Please try and keep your appointment. If you know that you will not be attending the appointment, please telephone the receptionist to cancel so that the it can be allocated to another patient.
Urgent Appointment: If you have a genuine problem that will not wait for a routine appointment, please tell the receptionist and we will try and accommodate you as soon as possible.
Telephone Advice: If you need telephone advice from wither the doctor or the nurse, please telephone 01443 875131 between 12 noon and 12:30pm. You may be asked to ring back if the doctor or nurse are busy with another patient.
Sick Children: Sick children will always be seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery during the consulting hours.
Home Visits: Home visits are for elderly housbound and terminally ill patents, and for those who are too ill to arrend the surgery. If you need a house call, please try and arrange it before 10:30am if possible. This will help the doctors plan their rounds and avoid delay. Please do not request a home visit if you are able to attend surgery. We regret that we cannot provide a home visit simply because you do not have transport. If we feel the call is an emergency, we will advise a '999' ambulance or arrange urgent admission without making a house visit during consultation hours.
